Why Showroom Shine?
Your car’s exterior paint can be affected by dirt, dust, and debris from the road. To ensure that your vehicle does not pick up scratches or tiny marks, you may want to consider schedule a routine detailing. During a Showroom Shine detail at Washed, our detailer applies a generous coat of protectant to your car’s exterior which will restore its new car shine, while also providing a protective barrier.
Is beading good for my paint?
With winter on its way and rain showers becoming a regular Melbourne occurrence, you may have noticed water droplets settling in an unusual way on your car’s paintwork or rain pooling and hanging on to your paintwork. When the droplets settle and run smoothly off, this effect is known as beading, and aside from looking seriously cool it also makes keeping your car clean and streak-free a whole lot easier.
Beading is essentially created by polymers that create a very high surface tension, meaning water runs off the paint freely reducing streaking and tide marks that might have previously pooled on the paint surface. This also means that any dirt and grime will also sit on this layer of polymers, reducing the need for hard scrubbing during the washing process which in turn minimises swirls. The end result is a paint surface which is much slicker and easier when washing, drying and re-detailing.
How often should I Showroom Shine?
It is safe to Showroom Shine to your heart’s content. Each vehicle will vary as to how often it needs a re-application based on how it is garaged, how often you wash it, if you park under trees that attract birds and sap and how often you are driving it. Based on everyday city driving you could Showroom Shine your car between every 6 and 9 months.
